Under the guidance of Guru Padma Cheran Dehury at Shakti School of Dance, Pushkar, Rajasthan, dancers present Indian classical temple dance in the Odissi style. Master musicians of Odissi music accompany the dance with vocals and harmonium, pakawaj drum, sitar, violin, flute and magira. Odissi dance is known for its divine feminine, devotional and expressive qualities. Performances can range in size (Solo, duet or group and with live or recorded music). Shakti School of Dance annually presents ‘The Pushkar Temple Dance Festival’ in Rajasthan, India with performances by students in training and Company members.

Colleena and Rajasthani Gypsy MusiciansArabic Indian Fusion and Sapera Snake Charming Dance with Rajasthani ‘Gypsy’ Music
Dancers present sinuous snake-like movements through both Indian Fusion Belly Dance and the Sapera snake charming dance of the Khalbelia 'Gypsies'. The musical line-up includes esteemed Langa and Manganyer musicians from Rajasthan on the snake charming flute (pungi), sarangi, algoza, drum and vocals. Serpent mythology comes alive in the hypnotizing movements of these artists from the Rajasthani desert.
