Arabic Indian Fusion Dance and Rajasthani Gypsy Traditions

Kala Nag is a music and dance group from Rajasthan (India) that invokes the timeless mystery and symbol of ‘the snake charmer and the serpent’. Dancers present sinuous snake-like movements through both Arabic Indian Fusion Belly Dance and the Sapera snake charming dance of the Khalbelia 'Gypsies'. The musical line-up includes the most esteemed musicians of the Langa and Manganyer from Rajasthan on the snake charming flute (pungi), sarangi, algoza, drum and vocals.
