PRANAM - Online Workshop
PRANAM -All Levels
Thursday, May 29 7-8:30 pm EEST (Athens Time)
“Reverential Salutation” - using the body to crystallize intention, experience a creative flow of movements and shapes from ancient dance practices, yoga and the naturally abundant inner landscape of your own body.
For decades now Colleena has been exploring this theme of Pranam which she presents as the very crux of Indian classical dance when viewed as a Yogic practice. In this workshop students will learn a bit of history, context and tradition of Pranam from Sanskrit sources, as well as learn a choreographed Pranam inspired by Indian aesthetic, then finally explore the theme through guided exploration and manipulation of the motifs presented. Be ready to Co-Create and use your imagination!
Enter this space where our bodies become sacred….
